“Mad God” Bizarre and Provoking

June 12th, 2022 No comments

Review by John Delia

“If you disobey The and remain hostile to me I will act against you in a wrathful hostility. For my part will discipline you seven fold for your sins…” Leviticus

If you are he fan of the bizarre then Mad God, an animated film for adults, should nicely fit the bill. Touted as being experimental and being praised by the likes of Steven Spielberg, Paul Verhooven and Lucas film President Kathy Kennedy among others, the film takes you into the bowls of a brutal world that survives on the flesh of its inhabitants. The cinematic stop motion, live action and puppetry are amazing. But, be warned as the presentation is extremely gross, violent, stomach churning and revolting.

Jurassic Park meets Jurassic World in a blazing finale of a franchise that has entertained movie goers since 1993. A thrill a minute, the prehistoric dinosaurs that roamed the earth get to roam the world once again and entertain us. Using flashbacks and actors from the first three movies and melding them with Jurassic World‘s characters, brings it to a radiating finish.

Review By John Delia

A typical introduction to the world of Marvel and superhero’s, the TV show Ms. Marvel targets teens and pre-teens. The film is shown in a series of 6 episodes on Disney+ and it’s actually pretty good for the age groups. In some cases the film inspires as well as entertains. It’s the kind of film where the adventure gets pretty exciting as the character starts changing. However, true Marvel Comic fans will have to get used to Disney Marvel changes in the Marvel Universe with this one. Read more…

BOB’S BURGERS THE MOVIE Predictable yet Funny

May 27th, 2022 No comments

Review by Ian Delia for Your Entertainment Ticket

Before attending the special screening of Bob’s Burgers the Movie, I had never watched the TV show “Bob’s Burgers”. Once I left the theater after seeing the show on the big screen, that all changed. Of course, any cartoon show brought to theaters has comparable traits to similar shows. For example, the film reminded me a lot of “The Simpsons Movie”, predictable, yet funny. Read more…

TOP GUN: MAVERICK Roars into Theaters

May 26th, 2022 No comments

Review by John Delia

Top Gun: Maverick opens this weekend with a sequel that’s heart pumping brilliant. A long time in the waiting, the original that was made in 1986 has had a 36 year hiatus. But, the wait was worth it as with today’s special effects, the action film blows the doors off the theater. And with less romance and more drama, this one has little time for napping and more action entertainment. Read more…

FIRESTARTER an Sci-Fi Horror Flick

May 14th, 2022 No comments

Review by John Delia

An experiment gone badly, the action horror flick Firestarter, a remake of Stephen King’s book of the same title, comes to the big screen a second time. The story that was his first stab at super powers characters, works well in his novel. Translated for the screen however, even with the addition of computer graphics special effects, it fails to provide the energy, acting and storytelling of the 1984 release. Both films actually don’t really show the power of the great writer and fall way short of some of King’s greats like Carrie, The Shining and Christine to name a few. Read more…
