“Time. Space. Reality. It’s more than a linear path. It’s a prism of endless possibility, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities, creating alternate worlds from the ones you know. I am the Watcher. I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and ponder the question…What If?” the Watcher

The series What If…? Season One, gets off to a big bang. Following a quick statement by the Watcher, he continues with an introduction of situations and characters starting June of 1943. With the superpowers banding together against the Nazi Armies a super soldier was needed and Captain America became a reality. After the world was saved a whole new hero was created in another age. Review by Ian Delia

Ryan Reynolds says it himself, see this movie in theaters. We’ve all been waiting for a film to be worthy of the big screen since the beginning of the pandemic closed down movie theaters. Well, it’s has been delivered. Free Guy, is an action-packed videogame movie where it’s a NPC (Non-Playable-Character) living within a virtual loop. It’s his life versus the gamers (characters played by the video game players). Review by John M. Delia, Jr.

The world has become a dangerous place and our protection needs super heroes that will perform any job that needs to be done, even those that may result in their extinction. Now, there is another mission that only one team can complete and that team must be made of warriors that have nothing to lose and everything to gain. They are The Suicide Squad! Some may call the film a bit silly, but then aren’t all of DC’s Squad films famous for that? Just sit back and enjoy the chaos. Read more…

Review by John Delia, Sr.

Intentionally confusing, but very farfetched, the film Lucky takes a long time to set up before it lets you down. If anything positive comes from the film it does champion women who do fight back. Read more…

“John and the Hole” a Creative Psychological Drama

Review by John Delia, Sr.

Quirky and sometimes scary the film John and the Hole tells the tale of one teen at odds with his family. It’s also an eye opener, a caveat of sort that a psychological situation by a misguided youth can turn into an explosive event. Nicely written, directed and played out by a fine cast of characters, the script, while not a true story, works for those who may see something within their own family. Others who like a good drama, will keep them on the edge to the creative finale. Read more…

“Old” Newest From M. Night Shyamalan

Review by Thomas Delia

“Old” is the newest feature film from famous suspense horror director M Night Shyamalan. The movie invites audiences onto the excursion from hell as select families are invited to a secluded beach where, unbeknownst to them, time runs much faster than normal. As usual for an M Night film, the director himself makes a cameo as the bus driver dropping off his own characters onto the dangerous beach. The audience is then invited to follow a diverse group of vacationers as their body’s age with incredible speed on a cove that looks straight out of a vacation catalogue. There is the classic “M Night twist” at the end that tries to give an explanation for what the audience is forced to sit through, but it is barely worth the wait. Read more…

Review by John Delia

Based on a true story, the heartfelt drama Joe Bell comes to the screen this weekend. The film takes you into the lives of one family that has to deal with the effects of their son being bullied due to his sexual choice. It’s a compelling film that should press a lot of buttons on the society we live in. Nicely acted, directed and filmed, the movie works well on both the big screen and the home TV. Read more…

“GANGS OF LONDON” Action Packed Thriller

Review by John Delia

Being released on Blu-ray and DVD, the gutsy TV Series Gangs of London pulls together a fine cast and direction crew. Action packed and very dramatic it’s a reminder of films like Gangs of New York and The Godfather. But, make no mistake, this hard hitting crime thriller is definitely worth a watch all on its own. “SUMMERTIME” An Expression of Life

Review by John Delia

Billed as the most inspirational movie of the year, the movie Summertime rocks with rhyme and reason. A bevy of artists insert their poetry, songs, art, dance, paintings and music for the dialogue and visuals to provide the feelings and diversity of the big city. The acting, direction and cinematography work in tandem to make the film their masterpiece. Read more…

“RITA MORENO: JUST A GIRL WHO DECIDED TO GO FOR IT”

Review by John Delia

Telling her own story in part, Rita Moreno holds nothing back as we get a look at one of the most prolific actresses ever to grace the big screen, TV and stage. At the helm of this documentary is Mariem Pérez Riera, a fellow Puerto Rican, who delivers the icon with a richly filled selection of A list actors and filmmakers. But it’s the words from Moreno’s mouth that make the film compelling and important. Read more…
