Written Review by John M. Delia, Jr.

Jurassic Park meets Jurassic World in a blazing finale of a franchise that has entertained movie goers since 1993. A thrill a minute, the prehistoric dinosaurs that roamed the earth get to roam the world once again and entertain us. Using flashbacks and actors from the first three movies and melding them with Jurassic World‘s characters, brings it to a radiating finish.

After the last installment and the destruction of Isla Nublar the prehistoric animals escaped from the Lockwood mansion where they were kept and began to live a life in our world. During that time people have started to learn how to adapt with these creatures among us, while others have hunted them for sport. Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) have chosen to raise Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon), now a teenager, in seclusion where no one can find her. Since she is the key to genetic restructuring she can be valuable to anyone looking to design a perfect clone that is free of any abnormalities.

When the world is threatened by enormous locusts that could potentially destroy the world’s food supply, paleontologists Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Alan Grant (Sam Neill) are called in to investigate. With the only lead pointing towards old friend Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), mathematician and former consultant to Jurassic Park, it sends the investigators out to locate him and and find out what’s behind this new phenomenon. This lead takes them on a rollercoaster adventure that crosses paths between characters from Jurassic Park and now Jurassic World.

Director and writer Colin Trevorrow does a fantastic job with transforming this script to screen. With the spectacular CGI blending of the dinosaurs with the actors, it seems as if they are right in the scene together. The cinematography helps to bring this story to life. Exposing the right vision with the best presentation brings this historic conception from Michael Crichton beyond his expectations. The cast went above my expectations and put together a performance that will help this film win at the box-office

Trevorrow’s direction of storyline gets analytical and if you haven’t seen the first trilogy, this third sequel of Jurassic World may tend to be a bit hard to follow.  It might help you to understand why each character is important to the storyline if you do some homework, so research is key. You may be able to locate the trailers on YouTube of the first Jurassic Park Series (1993, 1997, and 2001) and then the second series (2015 and 2018) before going to see Jurassic World Dominion.

Jurassic World Dominion is great conclusion to the second trilogy and a fantastic tribute to the first visionaries.  The special effects throughout the motion picture are outstanding and worth seeing in the theater, especially IMAX where available. Please note that you might want to be cautious when deciding to allow your children to see the film as it does have some scenes that are a bit scary and gory immature youngsters.

Final Comment: I based my grade on the amazing visual effects, remarkable storyline, and magnificent performance by the cast.
