However, they don’t have tickets. Along the way, they learn new things about friendship and growing up. April 3, 7:00 p.m. A HARD DAYS NIGHT (1964) – The Beatles in their feature film debut, directed by Richard Lester, is one of the greatest rock-and-roll comedy adventures ever. The film takes on the just-left-of-reality style of mock-documentary, following “a day in the life” of John, Paul, George, and Ringo as fame takes them by storm. April 24, 7:00 p.m. 8 DAYS A WEEK: The Touring Years (2016) – Filmmaker Ron Howard examines the early years of the Beatles, from their club dates in Liverpool, England, to their concert tours in Europe and the rest of the world. Trailer: https://youtu.be/WqDgm2XJ9SA

May 7, 7:00 p.m. ACROSS THE UNIVERSE (2007) – The songs of the Beatles provide the sonic framework for this musical tale of romance, war and peace. When young British worker Jude (Jim Sturgess) sets sail for the United States in search of his father, he ends up meeting carefree college student Max (Joe Anderson) and his lovely sister, Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood), along with a cast of eccentric characters. As Jude and Lucy fall for each other, their relationship is threatened by the social upheaval that accompanies the Vietnam War. Directed by Academy Award-nominated director, Julie Taymor. Trailer: https://youtu.be/cu7ZVjD3hHE

May 20, 5:00 p.m. – HELP! (1965) – This second feature film from The Beatles, who reunited with “A Hard Day’s Night” director Richard Lester for the globetrotting comedy. After Ringo becomes unwittingly attached to a mysterious gift from a fan—a sacred ruby ring that gets stuck on his finger—the band goes on the run from a cast of characters who are determined to recover it at any cost. Evading robed cult fanatics, a diabolical scientist, and a hapless troupe of London police, John, Paul, George, and Ringo travel between Buckingham Palace, the Austrian Alps, and the Bahamas, all while delivering seven classic tracks, including “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away,” “Another Girl,” and “I Need You”. Trailer: https://youtu.be/KxeLM8IqDao
