Despite the success of ‘Bridesmaids’ and other female-driven movies, female representation in films is at its lowest level in five years, a USC report says. There’s one mountain in Hollywood that even “The Hunger Games’” scrappy heroine Katniss Everdeen hasn’t been able to move: the number of roles for women.

Also, with “Jurassic Park 3-D” in theaters and “Jurassic Park 4” in pre-production, the 1994 release of “Jurassic Park” made a surprise reappearance on the rental chart — in its 968th week.

'Django Unchained' retains top DVD sales and rentals spot
Garth Brooks may have ended his three-year residency at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel, but apparently, the relationship that led to the engagement is alive and well. Brooks will return to the Wynn’s Encore Theatre venue where he had held court for those three years for stints over Memorial Day and Independence Day weekends that will be filmed for subsequent DVD and Blu-ray release.
