The “Despicable Me” series that includes “Minions” never seems to get tiring as they extend their comedy one more time with Despicable Me 3 opening this weekend. Charging down the track Disney PIXAR’s first entry into theaters for 2017 Cars 3 crosses the finish line a winner for kids and families. As usual PIXAR goes straight for the heart and delivers an uplifting tale of friendship, determination and good values with which the children can aspire. By now everyone probably knows the story of Bambi, especially mothers who have either read it to their child, showed the video to them on a number of media including VHS, DVD and Blu-ray and may have even saw the film on the big screen when they were a child. It’s a ladies favorite, giving them a chance to bring back memories, but especially for clearing out their tear ducts through at least 50% of the 70 minute movie. Heartwarming, heartbreaking and uplifting all rolled into one, it’s truly Disney’s best story now on a 75th Anniversary Blu-ray, DVD and for the first time Digital HD box set. Read more…

Zootopia POSTER

Review by John Delia

Last year’s Disney film Cinderella came out around the same time as this Friday’s release of Disney’s Zootopia. While Cinderella’s March release went on to make a massive amount of money for the mouse house, time will tell if an animated film directed to families will do the same. Certainly Zootopia has a good storyline with a message that it doesn’t matter who you are, you can make your dreams come true, “as long as you work hard to accomplish them”. With that in mind and an excellent voice cast too boot, the family film should start good out of the gate. Read more…

This cute little film entertains youngsters and adults alike with its funny tale and slap-stick comedy. A spin-off from Despicable Me, the animated film Minions opens in theaters for a continuation of summer family fun. Much like The Penguins of Madagascar that had a nice run in 2008, the pill shaped Minions will make multi-millions. Read more…
