MIAMI, FL  – The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (@arshtcenter) is proud to announce its 14th season of showcasing Broadway’s greatest hits in the Ziff Ballet Opera House with a six-show subscription package that is power-packed with musical blockbusters. The 2019 / 2020 Broadway in Miami season is anchored by the Broadway musical HAMILTON (February 18 – March 15, 2020), which will play its premiere Miami engagement for a limited 4-week run.

Three additional 2019 / 2020 Broadway in Miami premieres include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (October 29 – November 3, 2019), Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (December 3 – 8, 2019) and Summer: THE Donna Summer Musical (May 12 – 17, 2020). Plus an exciting new production of the classic MISS SAIGON (April 7 – 12, 2020) and the iconic musical phenomenon, Jesus Christ Superstar (June 23 – 28, 2020).

The 2019 /2020 Broadway in Miami subscription season is presented by Florida Theatrical Association and the Adrienne Arsht Center along with presenting sponsor Bank of America and with support from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

SEASON SUBSCRIPTIONS

Season ticket prices for the six-show subscription package range from *$253 to $948. Current subscribers may renew their season tickets before the general public beginning Friday, January 25, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. by visiting the Adrienne Arsht Center box office, located at 1300 Biscayne Blvd., in Miami, calling the Season Ticket Holder Hotline toll-free at 800.939.8587 or the box office at 305.949.6722. Season renewals are also available online at arshtcenter.org. Please have your account number, renewal invoice and credit card available. Renewal period ends March 11, 2019.

 HAMILTON is  the  story  of  America’s  Founding  Father  Alexander  Hamilton,  an  immigrant  from the  West  Indies  who  became  George  Washington’s  right-hand  man  during  the  Revolutionary War  and  was  the  new  nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy   Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.
